Law enforcement throughout the county is conducted by the Hillsborough Sheriff headed by Sheriff David Gee.

As one of the busiest federal prosecution offices in the country, the office directs the satellite offices in Orlando, Jacksonville, Ft. Meyers, and Ocala.
